Becker Complete Series 1-6 DVD for Sale in Australia
Misanthropic Dr. John Becker runs a clinic in New York City. He is assisted by super-capable Margaret Wyborn and less-than-capable Linda, who’s only kept on because no one else can stand the doctor. Becker’s best friend is the blind Jake Malinak, who runs a newsstand in the diner across the street. The diner used to be run by Reggie Kostas, but it has been taken over by Chris Conner, a lady whom Becker fluctuates between loathing and being attracted to. The diner is also frequented by Robert Benito, who is universally known as Bob and is the super at Becker’s apartment.

To make a long story short, Dr. John becker (ted danson) is a distinguished research doctor who runs a small private practice in the heart of the Bronx. The only problem is, he’s not exactly what you call “smooth”. He was surly and unsmiling, and hated everything and everybody in life. He kept a tight rein on his patients, staff and “friends”. His only drawback is that he is actually a very caring person. Despite his distaste for the world and his desire for a nuclear reset switch in the world, his inner doctor truly wants to take care of others (even if that includes hitting them with a caring 2×4 that knocks on the head in some sense).
The office staff is much more complex, and office nurse Heidi Winston from his severe “lack of skills” and attempts to hold down a successful business, even though becker’s loose-brained nurse assistant Linda (shawny Smith) can’t seem to plug the leak from her brain. His only relief on this day is to walk down the street to a small restaurant where he can roar for a week’s work with jack (alex desert) and reggie (the beautiful terry Farrell), the restaurant’s owner, after leaving deep space 9.
