Blue Bloods, Season 2 DVD
Editorial Reviews
Tom Selleck has become a very fine actor, as many have noticed. We were not big fans of Magnum, not at all. After we discovered Jesse Stone, we took more notice of the now more mature actor. He has a presence and a gravitas that adds a great deal to this series.
We overlooked Bluebloods for some years. After seeing a couple of episodes of the current season, we decided to go back to Season 1 and watch more. Since then, we have watched and enjoyed all of Season 1 and we are now halfway through Season 2, and we continue enthusiastically. In all probability, we will continue through the latest season.
One of the captivating aspects of Bluebloods is that the Reagans have such close family ties. The scenes of the family dining together are rather special and uplifting, perhaps especially for those of us who lack such relationships.
It would be hard to overpraise the acting. Every single character is superbly portrayed.
My wife and I do not watch a great deal of TV, but we know what is out there. We think Bluebloods is the best series we have found in some time. Unlike some others, it does not turn into a soap opera; each episode is normally complete in itself, although some minor plot threads do continue in the background.
