Determined to protect the sanctity of his town, season two of Riverdale finds Archie seeking vengeance for his father’s shooting. As a civil war brews between the Northside and the Southside, loyalties will be divided. Plus, Betty and Jughead’s relationship is put to the test and Veronica’s father returns. Things aren’t always what you’d expect in Riverdale, and that’s especially true this season.
I’m not a teenager. I’m a mom living in the closet. But I absolutely love this series. I watched season 1 on Netflix, but I couldn’t wait for season 2 to come out so bought it on Amazon. I don’t usually rewatch tv shows often, but I have rewatched this one a few times. The acting is top notch. Kudos to casting director. Well written, and some amazing musical numbers. Very talented actors. In case you don’t know, this is based on the Archie comics, but writers have taken artistic license, and for the better. They made a few changes to character personalities, particuarly to Veronica, which makes me happy because she is my favorite on the show. The show has been described as darkly riveting and visually brilliant. That is an accurate description. The visuals are incredible with exceptional detail given to them. Parents watching will also appreciate the casting of the parents in the show. Most all are from well know programs in the 90’s with guest appearances by Molly Ringwald as Archies mom. I could really keep raving, but you just have to see it for yourself. Try out season 1 on netflix like I did and binge watch 🙂
I like the series. It is a twisted version of the comics I grew up with. The original comics were a view of America before about 1960. The series is a view of America 57 years later. The comics are an utopian view; the series is a dystopian one. The contrast is interesting, especially the view of the adult characters. I watch it every week.
I bought the season right after binge watching the first one on Netflix. It’s so good that I couldn’t wait. Such a fan of Cole Sprouse since I was a kid watching the suite life. I highly recommend it!
I love this season so far! The plot is especially good in my opinion, it captivated me, pulled me in to watch. I binge watched 18 episodes so far. I cannot wait to watch some more episodes. I recommend watching this show if you are a fan of Riverdale. I was skeptical to buy Riverdale season 2 but I am glad I did. I really loved the chapter development of Cheryl Blossom. She is just not the mean girl, and love how they added the story to her.

Rex Harrison –
I was intrigues to watch this show simply because it was based on the old Archie comics, but it ended up being something completely different with a lot of the old characters. A modern take, with a mix of the old. It’s a teen drama, but it’s also great for adults. It is loaded with mysteries, romance, intrigue, betrayal, you name it. Like Archie crossed with Dynasty (the old one). It is addicting. I can’t wait to see next season.
