Last Man Standing, starring Tim Allen, is about a man who feels he is surrounded by women in his family. This is every season ranked.
Last Man Standing formerly aired on ABC but stopped because, according to media outlets, ABC refused to cover the production costs for another season. For six seasons, 2011-2017, the show ran on ABC and was ABC’s second-highest-rated Sitcom for the 2016-2017 period. They, however, had a fallout with the producers of the show and another broadcast company.
Fox Broadcasting Company announced that it has taken up the show. The seventh season premiered on September 28, 2018. It has started airing the eighth season since January 2, 2020.
Through its whole run, we have compiled and ranked the events of every season of the show, from worst to best.
ABC waved goodbye to Last Man Standing as it fails to cover its production, but FOX took up the show on its seventh season. The sitcom tells of a man who thinks he is the black sheep in a family filled with women. The sitcom started well with ratings but dropped from the middle mark. Some of its fans weren’t happy with cast changes and wouldn’t warm into the new ones.
Mike tries to be manly by being busy as he focuses on The Outdoor Man store. And he didn’t stop shining as he voices out his opinion on his Outdoor Man Vlog. Though what he discusses has nothing to do with the Outdoor Man business, he is happy that he can talk about politics, surroundings, health system, and anything that can keep him away from female drama.
Alexander Krosney was cast as the eldest daughter of the Baxter family, Kristin Baxter. She was, however, re-cast and the show gave no explanation for it. Molly Ephraim, who played Mandy Baxter, Krosney’s younger sister on screen, is two years older than Krosney, which still doesn’t explain her re-casting. Amanda Fuller from Grey’s Anatomy replaced Krosney as Kristin.
The season heats up funnily: Mike wouldn’t have Ryan, Boyd’s father, have a full grip on Boyd because Ryan wants Boyd to have his last name. Also, Ryan was trying to revive his romance with Kristin. With a bit of advice on football from her father, Eve manages to injure a boy she had a crush on.
With this sitcom’s season still on episode 15 and the 16th episode set to air on March 26, 2020, it has given its fandom some hilarious moments.
Kristin is pregnant and the announcement managed to find a way to upset Mandy. In the second episode, Wrench In The Works, Mike, and Chuck also found a business venture they could lay their hands on, which is a classic car renovation service. Bonnie and Mike had a chat on his intentional absence from family when trying to do what he wants, and he tried to strike a balance. He and Vanessa found what they both loved to do.
Season 3 premiered on September 20, 2013. With guest stars from Duck Dynasty, Season 3 continued to thrill its fandom with hilarious moments. The season scripted new lives for the Baxters as the lives of their daughters changed. Mandy started college and got into fashion design, while Kristin worked away from home as a hostess in a restaurant.
For the first time, Eve gets a boyfriend and also took driving lessons from Mike. Mike, however, thought Vanessa should take over in teaching Eve driving so that they can bond. Mike and Vanessa also had to adjust to their new life.
Mike wants to expand the Outdoor Man by adding a wild-game restaurant but he needs help. Since Kristin had worked at a high-end restaurant, he thought she is the best fit to manage the new restaurant. Mike, however, didn’t know the business ethic, “don’t involve business with family,” which Vanessa also disapproved of. He also employed a neighbor as a security for the billboard after it was vandalized.
Eve had her first breakup and Mike tried to help her cope with her emotional distress. Eve and Mandy also had different opinions on Kristin’s breakup with Kyle.
This season starts in hysteria. After Mike just returned from a road trip, a tornado is headed for Outdoor Man and the home of the Baxters. The Baxters also had a lot of changes throughout the season. Music becomes Eve’s hobby, Kristin and Ryan purchase their first house, Mike builds a shed for Vanessa, and Mandy gets engaged to Kyle. Meanwhile, Vanessa also thought getting a tattoo will help her bond more with her daughters, but did it?
Additionally, Mike’s past caught up with him in a hilarious way as he meets his old college girlfriend that is now a mountain climber, whom he thought he could do business with.
This season premiered on September 23, 2016. Mike is now having some time to himself, because his daughters are now striving on their own. He now has time to work on his restaurant business and his Vlog. Vanessa’s relationship with her three daughters was still a priority as she seeks to keep in contact with them.
Mandy and Kyle were also planning to get married so they must have a plan on how to run things when they tie the knot eventually. Kristin and Ryan aren’t on the same page on who runs the family’s bills and it affected Boyd. Kristin and Mike also had a misunderstanding as Mike says she undermines his parenting role over Eve, but Kristin accuses him of spoiling Mandy.
As the first installment of the sitcom, fans grew into the story and its characters, which made them love it.
Mike thinks he has been traveling a lot and needs to spend some time at home with his wife and three daughters. The whole show started with Mike trying to set up a date for Mandy with Kyle. He tried to play Cupid, but it didn’t work as Kyle meets Kristin instead. Mike also insulted his grandson’s daycare teacher. It costed Mike as Boyd, his grandson, was kicked out of school and Kristin insisted that Mike takes care of the baby, so Mike had to start taking Boyd to work. He did other stupid things too. He thought Mandy, a teenager, was ready to earn her own money so he advised her to start delivering Pizzas without consulting Vanessa.
